WorkLatch Refund & Cancellation Policy

Effective Date: August 31, 2026

Last Updated: August 31, 2026

This Refund & Cancellation Policy explains how subscription cancellations, failed payments, refunds, credits, and related billing matters are handled for WorkLatch Business Customers.

1. Monthly Subscription

WorkLatch is currently offered as a recurring monthly subscription.

The current standard subscription price is $39.99 per month.

The subscription automatically renews each month until canceled.

There is currently no free trial unless WorkLatch expressly states otherwise at the time of purchase.

2. Automatic Renewal

By purchasing a WorkLatch subscription, the Business Customer authorizes WorkLatch and Stripe to charge the applicable recurring subscription amount and any applicable taxes or other properly disclosed charges to the payment method maintained through Stripe.

The subscription continues renewing monthly until canceled or otherwise terminated.

3. How Cancellation Works

A Business Customer may cancel using a cancellation method WorkLatch makes available through its billing tools, Service, or designated support channels.

WorkLatch’s application is designed to support self-service subscription management through Stripe’s Customer Portal where that functionality is enabled.

4. When Cancellation Takes Effect

Unless otherwise stated, cancellation takes effect at the end of the current paid billing period.

This means the Business Customer generally retains paid access through the end of that period, subject to the Terms of Service.

5. No Routine Proration

WorkLatch does not ordinarily provide prorated refunds for unused days remaining in a billing period after voluntary cancellation.

The ordinary result is:

no prorated refund + continued paid access through the end of the current paid billing period.

6. General Refund Rule

Payments are generally non-refundable once charged, except where:

  • applicable law requires otherwise;
  • WorkLatch determines that a refund or credit is appropriate; or
  • another written agreement expressly provides otherwise.

WorkLatch does not offer a general satisfaction-guarantee refund program.

7. Unused Included Rescue Activations

The current standard subscription includes 100 Rescue Activations per billing period.

Unused included Rescue Activations:

  • expire at the end of the applicable billing period;
  • do not roll over; and
  • do not have cash value or create a refund right merely because they were unused.

Future Rescue Packs, promotional credits, or courtesy capacity may have separate rules.

8. Exceptional Refunds or Credits

WorkLatch may issue a refund or credit where appropriate, including for:

  • duplicate charges;
  • billing errors;
  • charges improperly made after effective cancellation;
  • material service failures;
  • refunds required by law; or
  • another specifically approved exception.

These examples do not create an automatic refund entitlement in every similar situation.

9. Duplicate or Incorrect Charges

If a Business Customer believes it was charged incorrectly, WorkLatch may review relevant billing records, subscription state, invoices, cancellation status, and payment timestamps.

Where WorkLatch confirms an erroneous charge, it may issue an appropriate refund or credit.

10. Material Service Failures

WorkLatch may consider a refund or credit where a material failure of WorkLatch’s own Service warrants one.

Relevant factors may include the nature and duration of the issue, whether WorkLatch caused it, whether paid functionality was materially unavailable, whether the issue was resolved, and applicable law.

Third-party outages or customer misconfiguration do not automatically require a refund.

This does not excuse failures caused by WorkLatch’s own systems or conduct.

11. Failed Renewal Payments

If a recurring renewal fails, WorkLatch may provide a limited grace period.

During that period, some features or paid operational functionality may be limited.

WorkLatch does not contractually guarantee a specific grace-period duration.

If the issue remains unresolved, WorkLatch may restrict or suspend paid service until the account is brought current.

12. Stripe Payment Retries

The timing and number of payment retries may depend on Stripe configuration, payment-network behavior, payment method, and other factors.

WorkLatch does not promise a particular automatic retry schedule.

13. Suspension Is Not Cancellation

Restriction or suspension for payment, fraud, abuse, telecom/carrier compliance, AUP, security, or payment-provider reasons does not necessarily mean the subscription has been canceled.

A Business Customer that wishes to stop future renewals should use an available cancellation method or otherwise confirm that cancellation has been scheduled.

14. Cancellation Does Not Delete Data

Canceling a subscription does not automatically delete the WorkLatch account or associated information.

WorkLatch may retain information as described in the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

WorkLatch does not promise indefinite storage or a fixed post-cancellation export window.

15. Taxes

Subscription prices may be exclusive of applicable taxes.

WorkLatch may calculate, collect, or remit taxes where required by law or where tax functionality is enabled.

16. Price Changes

WorkLatch may change subscription pricing prospectively.

For changes affecting an existing recurring subscription, WorkLatch will provide whatever notice or consent applicable law and applicable payment/subscription rules require.

17. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes

Business Customers are encouraged to contact WorkLatch about suspected billing errors when reasonably possible before initiating a payment dispute.

Nothing in this policy eliminates any lawful right to dispute a payment.

WorkLatch may investigate payment disputes, chargebacks, or suspected payment fraud and may provide relevant billing records to Stripe, payment networks, banks, or other parties involved in resolving the dispute.

Fraudulent or abusive payment disputes may result in account restriction, suspension, or termination as permitted by the Terms.

18. Billing and Cancellation Support

WorkLatch support channels are:

Email: support@worklatch.tech

Support: https://www.worklatch.tech/support

Submitting a billing inquiry does not itself cancel a subscription unless WorkLatch confirms that cancellation has been completed or scheduled.

19. Changes to This Policy

WorkLatch may update this policy as its Service, billing systems, pricing, law, or practices change.

Material changes apply prospectively according to their stated effective date.

20. Relationship to the Terms

This policy supplements the WorkLatch Terms of Service.
